Echinacea Root, Echinacea purpurea ~ Earthy, activating. All parts of echinacea are considered immune activating, however the roots may be the most potent. Some sources promote a combination of E. angustifolia and E. purpurea while others deem the two species to be practically interchangeable. Traditional uses include promoting resistance to and resolving respiratory and other infections, as well as acting as a blood purifier, generally activating immune function and elimination.
