FAQs
Yes, we have a three pound minimum order per plant.
We require a $15.00 service charge for all fresh orders, including farm pick ups. This money covers the price of ice packs, packaging materials, and the extra time it takes to ensure that your fresh herbs arrive safely.
There are two options- Pick up at the farm or UPS Next Day Air
We encourage you to order with friends to cut down on shipping costs and the carbon footprint of packaging and transport. To be more efficient, we generally do all the orders for one particular herb at the same time. If you order several herbs, plan on them all being shipped separately. Thanks for understanding!
We strive to notify customers a week in advance but it could be as little as 1-2 days before harvest. You will be notified via email to confirm your poundage and shipping information. Once it’s packed up, we will send an invoice via quickbooks. Your invoice will include a tracking number so you’ll know when your order will arrive.
* Roots are dug and carefully cleaned to remove as much dirt as possible but never washed with water. (We do not wash plant material with water to avoid any constituents being leached before it reaches you and to prevent issues during shipping.)
* All plant parts are carefully wrapped in food grade paper within the boxes and packaged with ice packs to ensure they arrive as close to the way they left our fields as possible.
* Herbaceous material loses weight during shipping. We include close to 10% more plant material for each fresh order to allow for water loss during transport. This helps ensure that your herbs arrive with the weight you ordered.
