Dandelion Root, Taraxacum officinale ~ Slightly sweet and slightly bitter, dandelion root is often used in tea preparations. The root is more demulcent than the leaf and contains slightly different nutrients as well as prebiotic starches which may help support desirable gut flora. Similar to the leaf, the root is also called a liver tonic, purifier, and diuretic.
