Description
Pennyroyal, Mentha pulegium ~ Strongly aromatic. Folk uses include promoting healthy digestion, liver and gallbladder function, and as a topical or internal antimicrobial. The essential oil derived from this plant is antimicrobial and insecticidal. The herb has a relatively high percent of its content in volatile oils, the main component of the essential oil.
