Description
Vitex is often referred to as chaste tree. Vitex berry has been used for reproductive support for thousands of years. The dried fruit, also called chasteberry, is usually tinctured but can be brewed as an herbal tea or cracked and sprinkled over food for an amazing peppery spice
The chaste tree is a small shrub with lance shaped leaves and purple flowers. It is native to the eastern Mediterranean but we have found it grows very well on the farm here in Southern Oregon. We started these trees from seeds years ago. It’s exciting to finally be harvesting them!
Precautions: Vitex berry is not recommended for use with hormonal contraceptives. Consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
