Description

Wild Bergamot/Bee Balm, Monarda fistulosa ~ Warmly and richly aromatic. With its agreeable penetrating aromatic quality, wild bergamot has been used topically as a pain reliever. The aromatic constituents were also supposed to be anti-fungal and antiseptic, therefore it has been used on wounds and minor skin afflictions. Internally as with many other aromatics, it has been considered expectorant for the respiratory tract and antispasmodic for the digestive tract. It is also useful as a steam, vaporized and inhaled by boiling it in water.
