Description

Angelica Root, Angelica archangelica ~ The root is rich in aromatic oils, giving it a pleasant, warming taste. It is energetic, traditionally used as an expectorant and carminative, and commonly found in liqueurs and as a digestive candy. This is the western angelica, also called European angelica, as opposed to the Chinese Angelica sinensis, which differs in its uses. Although it grows in the wild, it is advised to source from cultivated plants as it is easily mistaken for poisonous plants.
