Hyssop, Hyssopus officinalis ~ Minty, slightly bitter, and a bit anise flavored. Hyssop is strongly aromatic, and traditionally used in tea for sore throat, as an expectorant, or to clear the chest, and is purported to have an antispasmodic influence. Traditional preparations include in a gargle, syrup, or tea. It is typically used dried.
