We have some exciting news! Many of you have been patiently waiting for some of our 2022 roots to finally come into inventory. We’ve heard you love how we de-stem our aerial top herbs instead of cutting and sifting them like most of the herbs available on the market. This is just one thing we do that ensures the quality of our herbs are the best available. However, that doesn’t work for our root crops. Historically, we’ve worked with regional mills  to get our roots milled for you but shipping back and forth is expensive and takes sometimes months to get them back before we can start selling fruits of our labor.

Well, we are very happy to say that our root cutting mill will be fully operational within the coming week and we will soon have all our 2022 roots back in inventory, after being cut and sifted right here at Oshala Farm. You may have noticed that Astragalus is already back in stock!  Being able to mill roots right on the farm  is going to provide us with the opportunity to ensure the quality of our root crops from seed to shipping and will also help us lower our carbon footprint by not shipping crops back and forth for processing.

This project has been a long time in the making. Not only has it been a significant financial investment, but without the support of our lender and skills and knowledge of our incredible team we would not have been able to make this big step happen. Special thanks to our staff members Mike and Michael for all their efforts and know-how to help get this up and running and our amazing electricians, welders, mechanics, and carpenters to help pull it all together. We are very excited and full of gratitude to see this project finally come to fruition. Keep an eye out for your favorite root crops coming back into inventory, and get on our waitlists to be notified when they do arrive. We had an exemplary 2022 fall root harvest and we know you’re going to love all the yummy goodness.

Thank you all so much for your patience!

In good health,
