What’s Happened: An Overview
On the afternoon of Monday, July 6, 2026, a devastating fire broke out at Oshala Farm.
Thankfully, every member of our team and all of our animals made it to safety. For that, we are profoundly grateful.
In just a few short hours, we lost our drying barns, storage facilities, processing equipment, coolers, mechanic shop, and the vast majority of our harvested herbs. While our fields survived, much of the infrastructure needed to harvest, dry, process, and store those herbs did not.
What happened next has humbled us beyond words.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, neighboring farms, and partners throughout the herbal industry, we’ve already returned to harvesting and drying herbs while we begin the long process of rebuilding. Each day brings new progress, new challenges, and new reasons for hope.
This page is where we’ll continue sharing rebuilding updates, milestones, photos from the farm, and ways you can support Oshala as this journey unfolds.
The road ahead is still long. But because of this incredible community, this season is no longer lost.
