Herb Camp | June 26–28, 2026 | Oshala Farm, Southern Oregon

You wake to birdsong and a soft golden light filtering through the trees. The scent of Lemon Balm drifts past as you unzip your tent, nestled at the edge where forest meets field. All around you, the land is alive, chamomile nodding in the breeze, bees already busy in the skullcap, echinacea catching the light.

This is Herb Camp at Oshala Farm, and the day is just beginning.

Rooted in the Land

At its heart, Herb Camp is a chance to connect with the plants, the land, and a community of people who care deeply about both. For one weekend, our working herb farm becomes a vibrant gathering place for learning, celebration, and shared experience.

Founded and stewarded by Elise and Jeff Higley, Oshala Farm grows over 80 varieties of medicinal herbs using regenerative and certified organic practices. This is where you’ll camp, share meals, and learn, surrounded by the very herbs you’ll encounter throughout the weekend.

As returning camper and teacher Tessa Kappe shared:

“Campers rambled happily across the vibrant fields of calendula, skullcap, rue, elecampane, sage, echinacea and chamomile… The schedule was filled with dozens of educational workshops taught by leaders in their fields (teaching, literally, in the fields).”

What You’ll Experience at Herb Camp

Herb Camp is known for the quality and depth of its workshops. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your herbal journey, there’s something here to inspire you.

What You’ll Experience at Herb Camp

Every camper’s experience is a little different.

One morning might begin with a plant walk through the fields, learning directly from the herbs where they grow. Another might find you gathered beneath the trees with a notebook in hand, exploring a new way of understanding plants, people, or yourself.

Some workshops focus on practical skills and hands-on learning. Others invite reflection, creativity, observation, and a deeper relationship with the plants, the land, and yourself.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll move between conversations, demonstrations, meals, music, and moments of unexpected connection. You’ll make medicine, share stories, learn from experienced teachers, and spend time with people who care deeply about plants and the role they play in our lives.

There is no single Herb Camp experience.

Only the one you create as you wander the farm, follow your curiosity, and discover what the plants have waiting for you.

A Weekend on the Farm

From medicine making and botanical crafting to movement, plant walks, and guided exploration, Herb Camp offers countless opportunities to engage with the plants through both study and experience.
